Save Time with Layout Recipes!

It's Club Scrap's Boardwalk Blog Hop time! Here's the itinerary:

Previous Stop - Pam
Next Stop - Roni
The Beginning - Club Scrap

I've been having some fun with my Boardwalk layout recipe card. (Every monthly collection includes a layout recipe card with membership. I hope you use them for inspiration now and then...)

This is the image of the layout . . .

I like that it has room for eleven photos, but still allows for some "white space" with plenty of decorative potential.

Here is the finished layout with Boardwalk papers:

The recipe called for 8.5x11 Paper A (Deep Blue), 8.5x11 Paper B (Sage), 12x12 Paper C (Red) and I chose a Sea Blue Print for the left base, and a Sea Blue Plain for the right base.

After following the trimming instructions, I simply assembled the layout according to the sketch and made it my own with a title and embellishments.

I added a border along the right edge of the layout with the nifty Boardwalk stencil, CS® Ink Applicator and CS® Earth ink.

I couldn't resist adding my little die cut lobster from Memory Box.

Take a "look" at him with wiggly eyes!

I slid the 1.25x12 Red border strip behind the vintage swimsuit with the help of my handy dandy craft knife.

A few stamped images do a great job of wrapping up this layout.

Club Scrap layout cards are efficient crafting at its best! Don't forget to use them when you're at a loss for ideas.

Next, let's see what Roni has in store...
