I've been a busy gal this month with lots of filming, editing, instruction-writing, and more. We just wrapped up the Spring Chorus edition of the Scrap Rap where we featured a fun handmade notecard holder out of a sheet of 8.5x11 paper. (See page 14.)
The holder is thick enough to store a set of four A2 envelopes and notecards. Use the gorgeous papers in the Club Stamp Spring Chorus collection to make a few beautiful sets! Dust off your 8x8 Grid Ruler, cuz you'll need it!

I'm also excited to announce the winner of last month's blog candy from comment #37 . . . Karen Ladd! Congratulations! We have contacted you privately with your gift certificate for $15 to do a little shopping at clubscrap.com!
Leave a comment below to put your name in the hat for next month's prize!

Great job. Those papers are so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to make this - such a nice way to gift a few cards!
ReplyDeleteConnie C.
I look forward to making this and cards as a gift, wonderful idea and great video instructions.

Sneaky. No photo. I will watch all of the videos after I finish hopping around.
ReplyDeleteOopsies! Photo added. Thanks for mentioning that! I was going to add it but got all happy once I had the video embedded!
DeleteSo cute - I am looking forward to makeing one!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. So easy. So easy to modify for diff types of cards. Thanks for all your great instruction, Tricia.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Tricia, I've managed (UNTIL NOW!) to hold off purchasing that 8x8 Grid Ruler. There goes the paycheck...again!
ReplyDeleteI just love a great video tutorial! Thanks for sharing this because I tried making one last night to no avail. My scores were never correct and now I can see just what I was doing wrong. Thanks so much for the continued inspiration Tricia! Such a fun project. :)
ReplyDeletewhat a great tutorial!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I was going to use this kit for scrapbook pages, but you have just inspired me to make cards. I have a friend who is expecting twins. We don't know the gender - but I think the kit colors lend themselves well to baby cards. I think I will help the new parents out by making their thank you cards!
Not only a great project to look at, but a great video so we can make the project. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI need to bookmark this so I can remember it when I need a small gift. Great project and tutorial!
ReplyDeletegreat idea for a little present! Thanks for the super tutorial.
ReplyDeleteLove this envelope! Thank you for the tutorial.
ReplyDeleteLove when I learn new things to use the 8x8 grid ruler. What a great gift.
ReplyDeleteAnything that holds cards is awesome in my book!
ReplyDeleteThat is just the one ruler I do not have....I just put it on top of my list, Tricia, what a lovely gift to make (even for myself;-)
ReplyDeleteBTW thanks for your birthday card!
This is really neat. I need to try this!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice,
ReplyDeleteI can see myself making many of these, I love to give cards as a gift.
What a great project, Tricia! Quick and easy, but so good looking! Definitely adding this to my 'go to' projects for 'need something in a hurry' gifts!
ReplyDeleteThat grid ruler is such an amazing tool. I love finding new ways to use it. It's well worth the time to learn how to use.
ReplyDeletethis is a great idea for teacher gifts! thanks for the tute!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to ALL your videos, but this one has truly inspired me. It's not too late to make some Mother's Day gifts and I may even get some graduation and thank-you-for-volunteering gifts made. I've always hoped someone would let us know what all those angles are for on the ruler and how to use them. I'd like to see a series on that {hint, hint}. They must be good for something because all cutting mats have them, too. I know quilters use them, but how does that translate to papercrafting? Maybe I'm the only one in a fog about those markings, but I doubt it. Anyway, another great project, Tricia. It's a winner.
ReplyDeleteLucy, I will be sure to add this to my "list of things to create video tutorials about". :) Glad you liked this project! It's SO easy!
DeleteOh my goodness this project is so pretty! And EASY! I see my Sunday afternoon being filled with making these sets. TFS this wonderful project, and gift!
ReplyDeleteHelen -- Firenze Cards
Very nice spring folio for cards. Thanks for sharing how to make this.
ReplyDeleteYou surely have been a busy girl! But still you always manage to come up with awesome projects and videos anyway! Thanks for the reminder of all the cool stuff I can be doing with my 8x8 grid ruler!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty yet simple project! Thank you for sharing this Tricia. Now I just need the Grid Ruler! An amazing lady - who just happens to run in marathons, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meredith! :)

This is fabulous...I really really do need to dust off the 8x8 an use in it's appropriate manner...generally works as a stamp block. THANKS for the video!
ReplyDeleteI love card holders - they make such a nice gift idea too. Thanks for sharing your creation.
