A Night at the Met Linky Party

Hi, All!

I used a combination of masking with CS® inks and Faber Castell oil pastels when working with the stamps from A Night at the Met.

Follow the steps below to make this fun pair of cards.

1. Mask an area of a 4x5.25" White card panel with Post-It notes or Eclipse Tape by Judikins.

2. Apply Ash, Amethyst, and Lagoon inks to the exposed area with a CS® Ink Applicator.

3. Remove the mask.

4. Stamp a sentiment and image onto the card panel with India Black ink.

5. Add a bit of color to the ballet shoes with a purple oil pastel.

5. Blend the oil pastel color with a soft cloth or paper towel.

6. Repeat steps above to create a second card panel. Stamp the ballerina image with Sandstone ink.

7. Use a Faber Castell PITT pen to add color to the arms, leg and bodice of the dancer. Apply purple oil pastels to the skirt in simple, broad strokes.

8. Blend the oil pastels with a soft cloth or towel and finish the card with a stamped sentiment.

9. Layer the white card panels onto a folded card base. Stand back and admire while creating a dark shadow in the lower right corner of the photo. (Sorry!)
